I’m prone to sinus infections and the doctors can’t figure out why. Since I am in natural health and love to experiment, I decided to try to treat myself naturally when I got a sinus infection last week. I’ve had so many over the years that I know what it was and instantly went to work.
I am thrilled by this experiment because it exceeded all my expectations. I have taken antibiotics in the past to treat sinus infections but know that while antibiotics have their benefits, they also are damaging. Even with antibiotics, it has taken me 10-14 days to recover from a sinus infection.
This protocol of only natural products was even more effective than drugs, had me feeling great in less time and had no side effects or risks. I know what I will be doing next time I get a sinus infection!
So here’s what I did. While I am no doctor and am not recommending this, I had to share.
I started with taking 5 drops of Immune Drops on my tongue several times a day. Immune Drops is a blend of five essential oils that I have been using for a few years with much success. It was called ColdAid so that is why I still have bottles with that name on it.
I also sprayed Colloidal Silver 10-15 times in my mouth and a few sprays directly in my nose. Colloidal Silver “is used to treat infections due to yeast; bacteria (tuberculosis, Lyme disease, bubonic plague, pneumonia, leprosy, gonorrhea, syphilis, scarlet fever, stomach ulcers, cholera); parasites (ringworm, malaria); and viruses (HIV/AIDS, pneumonia, herpes, shingles, warts) according to WebMD1.
I used Harmony Cone Ear Candles 4 candles per ear every day for five days. Patrick was with me to supervise my ear candling because candling is so relaxing that I would have fallen asleep if he had not be there. There is also an open flame so staying awake is a must!
I used homeopathy as well. Homeopathy has been in my family for many generations. My great grandfather was one of the first homeopaths in France. I took 5 pellets of Belladona 30C under my tongue every 15 minutes until I felt better. I also slept a lot and drank a ton of water, two things I always find very therapeutic.
I took Olive Leaf Extract sublingually every day throughout the day. According to Natural News, Dr. Weil reports that olive leaf helps with “fighting inflammation or infection and aging and restoring a compromised immune system”2.
Throughtout the day, I did sinus rinses with a a blend of sea salt, xylitol, and baking soda. I will soon be carrying this blend in my store. It should be a staple in every medicine cabinet.
I paired all that with a healthy and balanced diet and voila, I was as good as new in just five short days. I am thrilled to have something so easy and natural that worked so well for me. I will know what to do next time I get hit with a sinus infection.
What natural solutions do you use for sinus infections? I’d love to hear from you.
